Recently, I had the privilege of photographing the wedding of my son Ethan and daughter in law Emily

Every love story deserves to be told, and as a photographer, there's no greater honor than being entrusted with capturing the magical moments of a wedding. Recently, I had the privilege of photographing the small, intimate wedding of my son Ethan and daughter-in-law Emily. Despite the rain that graced Dorset on their special day, we refused to let the weather dampen our spirits. In this blog post, I invite you to join me on this beautiful journey as we celebrated their love, from the ceremony in Dorchester to the enchanting meal in the Saxon Arms in Stratton, and the heartwarming afternoon/Evening tea in the local village hall.

As the big day approached, the weather forecast predicted rain—a lot of it. Although some may have felt discouraged, Ethan and Emily approached the day with unwavering optimism. We reminded ourselves that rain symbolizes fertility, cleansing, and new beginnings, which only added a touch of romance and symbolism to their union. Armed with umbrellas and the determination to make the most of the day, we embarked on this unforgettable adventure.

The historic town of Dorchester served as the picturesque backdrop for Ethan and Emily's wedding ceremony. The rain gave the streets a glistening sheen, reflecting the love and joy that filled the air. Inside the charming venue smiles lighting up the room. As the couple exchanged their heartfelt vows, happiness mingled with raindrops, creating an atmosphere that was both tender and poignant.

After the ceremony, we made our way to the Saxon Arms in Stratton, Dorset, a hidden gem nestled amidst the lush countryside. The cozy ambiance of the venue, with its rustic charm and warm lighting, made it the perfect setting for an intimate celebration.

The rain was still tipping down outside, but this didn't stop us from taking advantage of the village's breathtaking views & architecture for some stunning outdoor photographs. The love radiating between Ethan and Emily was palpable as I captured their laughter and stolen glances against the backdrop of nature's beauty.

To conclude this beautiful day, we gathered at the local village hall for a small and intimate afternoon/Evening tea. Surrounded by close family and friends, we created an atmosphere of love, laughter, and heartfelt connections. The rain had become a distant memory as we enjoyed delicious treats, sipped tea, and celebrated the newlyweds' journey into their shared future. The village hall, adorned with balloon centre pieces and personalized touches, transformed into a cozy haven of joy and togetherness.

As the wedding photographer, my goal was to capture every fleeting emotion, every stolen glance, and every heartfelt moment. Looking back at the photographs, I am reminded of the deep love that Ethan and Emily share, as well as the resilience and positivity that defined their special day. Raindrops became precious gems, adding a touch of magic to the images and reminding us that true love can flourish in any weather.

Ethan and Emily's small, intimate wedding in Dorset was an unforgettable celebration of love, resilience, and the power of togetherness. Despite the rain, their day was filled with laughter, tears of joy, and the warm embrace of loved ones. As the photographer & grooms dad, I feel grateful to have been a part of this incredible journey, capturing the essence of their love story. May their union serve as a reminder that love is unyielding and can shine through even the stormiest of skies.

In the end, it is the love that binds us together that truly matters, and Ethan and Emily's wedding was a testament to that truth.
